Ohana’s Youth Development team helps young people who have disengaged from school, or who are thinking of leaving school because they are facing significant barriers, to continue with their education, training or enter into employment.
Our team provides an individualised case management approach that assists young people improve their ability to make positive life choices and career goals.
We can help a young person to:
- Return to school
- Access training or alternative education
- Reconnect with their family
- Get a mentor
- Connect with another organisation to help with issues such as mental health, drugs and alcohol, family breakdown or homelessness.
We also run outreach activities for young people in the community and aim to strengthen services so young people are better connected to education.
